Our Quality Assurance To You

Thompson Valley Ranch only uses Angus cattle in its Natural Grass-fed Beef program. Angus beef is known nation wide for its superior tenderness and rich flavor.

Cattle in our Natural Grass-fed Beef program are all born and pasture raised with Thompson Valley Ranch, not purchased from outside producers. Because we know the cattle for their entire lives we can positively guarantee they have never been treated with hormones or antibiotics.

Grass-fed means Grass-fed! Due to loop holes in regulations it is actually legal to feed animals a partial diet of grain and still label them as "grass-fed" Many programs choose to do this during the finishing process to better marble the beef. Animals in the Thompson Valley Ranch Natural Grass-fed Angus Beef program are never fed any type of grain or corn. We finish our cattle the old fashioned way, by grazing them high protein forage pastures. When we say "Grass-fed" we mean 100% Grass-fed and Grass-finished!

Thompson Valley animals enjoy a completely natural diet of fresh grass and legumes that are rich in healthy compounds that are stored, in the meat, by the animal in the form of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, beta carotene and conjugated linoleic acid or CLA.

Thompson Valley Natural Grass-fed Angus Beef is dry aged under refrigerated conditions for a full 21 days, the old fashioned way. The dry aging process allows the natural enzymes in the beef to enhance tenderness and bring out the full flavor.

Immediately after cutting, our beef is vacuum-sealed for freshness and quickly frozen to preserve the natural juices in the meat.

Our beef is then stored and transported frozen for your safety, and because of our careful packaging procedures you can rest easy that the beef you bought from us in summer, when stored properly, will be just as delicious that winter.
